We humans, get energy from the food that we eat. We should eat nutritious food and well-cooked food in our diet. So we use some salt for our cooking, which should also be useful to eat. Most of the food owners mix and adulters the cereals and sell them at a high rate. These food owners should be punished for this, and FSSAI takes the whole responsibility, inspects them, and ensures that they are following the guidelines.
We also get some fake videos on social media about food products such as eggs and the salts. The counterfeit videos describe that the food products in the market are artificial and being adulterated by the owner. Still, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has busted the myths by giving proper explanation giving the proof scientifically. The myths that had busted by the FSSAI has mentioned below:-
Myth number 1:-
Adulteration of salt with detergent:-
Some days before, a video was uploaded on social media about the deterioration of salt with detergent. We all share and trust the videos that have been uploaded on the social media platforms, but they are not valid. When any solid substance is added to a liquid material to dissolve, and if it wholly dissolved, we call it a solution. The solid substance here is called the solute, while the liquid content is called the solvent. Hence when the salt is dissolved in a high amount of solvent ie, water, it disappeared directly, but if the amount of the salt is high than the amount of water, then it forms lumps and foam. And by seeing this, the people precept it as a deterioration of salt with the detergent.
Myth number 2:-
Poultry products transmit coronavirus:-
The leading cause of transmission of coronavirus is through human to human. When a person comes in contact with the infected person, he gets infected through the person. The virus infects from his respiratory droplets when he sneezes, coughs, or any person comes in contact with him firmly. Up till now, according to the investigation, it is not committed that the coronavirus is the cause of transmission. Hence the poultry products are safe to consume but by following the proper hygiene principles stated by the World Health Organization(WHO).
Conclusion:-
We people trust fake news due to the misunderstanding that is shared and viewed on social media. But the FSSAI takes the responsibility of the food products and busts the myths and misconceptions of the people so that they consume the quality food.
