FSSAI advised Food Business Operators to ensure Quality for sweet products

The Food Regulators have been stressed to make less use of the colors in the sweet products in the meeting that was held for the confectioneries. A discussion of the colors used in the sweets was discussed in the meeting by displaying the sweets that were made using high and less concentration of the colors in the sweets for a better understanding. 

The Designated Officer of FSSAI said that the main objective and focus was to educate the confectioners to produce good sweet products and make good practices to produce sweet products so that it is safe for the common people to consume. Quality should also be ensured before making sweet products.

Confectioners that make sweet products have been advised by the FSSAI to use quality raw materials while production of the sweet products and they have also been instructed to create a hygienic environment in the place where the sweets are manufactured. The confectioners should also follow the various principles and rules of the FSSAI in the storage of the products so that they remain safe and consumable for the people. 

The coloring agents that are permitted by the FSSAI authority must be used by the confectioners and the coloring agents should not exceed the limit in the sweet and if it exceeds the limit then the sweet products can be seoindiarank considered as non-consumable as it is not safe to consume the sweet products that have high concentration of coloring agents. The consumption of these sweets with a high amount of coloring agent can be hazardous for the human.

The FSSAI had also advised to make use of the packaged cooking oil for the production of the sweet products and avoid the packaging of the products with plastics.
